MPQC Plant Operator Competency Scheme

With over 25 years experience in the extractives industry DH TRAINING deliver with confidence the MPQC Operator Competency Scheme covering a full range of plant, process, construction and road surfacing plant categories throughout the UK. If you work in the Extractives or Mineral Processing industry, the Minerals Products Qualification Council (MPQC) is the approved standard for mobile plant operatives.

DH TRAINING support equipment operators through their journey from initial training on the required categories of mobile plant, followed by an onsite operational assessment for the award of an MPQC Assessed Operator status (previously known as a Red MPQC card). Each assessment consists of a Health and Safety Test and a practical assessment. Assessments can approximateley 2 hours and include key assessment factors directly associated to the machine category and the operational duties of that machine. Once completed, learners are registered to complete an MPQC Level 2 Vocational Qualification..

SPA Quarry Contractor Safety Passport Training


The MPQC/SPA Contractor Safety Passport for Mineral Products course provides all contractors who work within the Mineral Extraction and Products industries with a basic level of Health, Safety and Environmental knowledge.

The Safety Passport Scheme for Mineral Products is designed to raise contractors’ awareness of their responsibilities for safety and enable them to identify relevant hazards and reduce risks as defined by the MPQC.

The safety passport is not a measure of your competence, but it is something all contractors working within this sector are commonly expected to hold. Successful candidates will also achieve a Level 2 MPQC award in Understanding Safe Working for Contractors in Extractives and Building Products Industries Sites (QCF).

All courses can be conducted at our center of excellence or on customer premises . .

MPQC Accredited Plant Training


Designed for the Quarrying and Extractives industries, MPQC accredited training and assessments are designed to cover a full range of applications of mobile plant, process equipment and construction equipment, ensuring relevant course content and durations that cover the specific applications of the industry.

We work closely with MP Awards to ensure our training is relevant to an operators role. Courses are available for novice, experienced, refresher and experienced worker assessments.

All plant training courses that we offer are MPQC Accredited, ranging from Wheeled Loading Shovels to Road Surfacing Equipment.
